Top 5 Film & Television Apps on iOS in Romania: Q3 2024 Performance

During the third quarter of 2024, the top five Film & Television applications on the iOS platform in Romania displayed diverse performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies from WarnerMedia Global Digital Services saw a consistent increase in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $35K by the end of September. While downloads peaked at 26.9K in late July, they declined to about 5.2K by the quarter's end. Active users, however, improved significantly, climbing from 48.5K to over 70.7K.

Netflix experienced stable weekly revenue, peaking at around $10K in mid-September. The app maintained a steady download rate, fluctuating between 5.4K and 7.3K throughout the quarter. Active user numbers remained robust, with a slight decrease from 187.6K to 186.9K.

AntenaPLAY showed significant fluctuations in weekly revenue, with a notable peak of approximately $50.7K in mid-August. Downloads spiked at 18.1K in mid-July but decreased to under 1K by the end of September. Active users followed a downward trend, decreasing from 13.7K to around 6K.

Disney+ had a strong quarter with revenue peaking at about $92.7K in mid-August. Downloads increased notably towards the end of the quarter, reaching 7.2K. Active users also saw growth, peaking at 71.3K in late September before settling at 60.7K.

Voyo.ro had a varied download performance, starting the quarter with a high of 15.7K downloads but dropping to just over 1K by the end. The app, however, did not generate any revenue during this period.
